Full Moon Magic...

Last night was our first full moon back under the Botswana night sky. Thinking back to the previous full moon - spent in the US enjoying the company of great friends while listening to the calls of loons as water lapped the sides of our boat - we started feeling lonely and far from home. To ease our loneliness we laid some blankets out in our lapa (the outdoor living area for Batswana) and enjoyed the luminous glow of the moon. Before long we added some mugs of tea and a favorite book that Jon read aloud to Prescott and me by the moonlight. Sipping hot mugs of Sweet Orange tea, snuggling little Prescott close between, getting lost in the beauty of a familiar story, basking in the moonglow, ... a perfect evening reminding us to find beauty where we are.

Enjoying the moonlight
