We had a great visit to the US and were able to see lots of friends and family. In addition to visiting with so many people we love, we were able to:
- attend the wedding of a good friend,
- bask in the glory of lakes and trees,
- celebrate the baptisms of both Prescott and his cousin Parker,
- eat about 6 gallons of ice cream and countless bags of tortilla chips,
- and relish the feeling of being ‘normal’ again.
We were amazed time and again with the generosity, warmth, and thoughtfulness of everyone. We left feeling so very, very encouraged and loved.
A doting great-grandma with a happy Prescott
Because Prescott is named after his great-grandfather, according to the customs in Botswana, he should receive the respect due to his namesake. His cousins should respect him more while they are playing and my grandma could call him 'her little husband' and give him extra treats and affection.
